I · Install

Put It On Your Home Screen

SIX DEEP is not in an app store. It installs from your browser in about a minute, and from then on it opens like any other app: its own icon, full screen, and usable without signal once it has loaded. On iPhone, alerts only reach the installed app.

    Open it in Safari, then tap ···
    Go to app.sixdeep.golf and tap ··· at the bottom of the screen. On an older iPhone, tap the square with the arrow in the bar instead.

    Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen
    Scroll the list if you need to. Not there? Tap Edit Actions at the bottom and switch it on.

    Tap Add
    Top right. Keep the name SIX DEEP, and leave Open as Web App on if you see it.

    Open it from the icon
    SIX DEEP sits with your other apps. Open it from here from now on, not from Safari.

Some apps open links in a browser of their own, where there is no Share button. Tap ··· or the compass icon to open the page in Safari, then start at step one.

Tap the ≡ menu, then Add page to, then Home screen.

On a computer, Chrome and Edge show an install icon at the right end of the address bar, and Safari on a Mac adds it from File, then Add to Dock. Rounds are logged on your phone.

II · Using It

Logging, Scoring, Your Card, The Feed

Logging a round

  1. Pick the course
    The course database is built in, and it keeps growing. If yours is missing, add it. Members earn credit for adding courses, scanning scorecards, and verifying details.
  2. Log as you play, or after
    Enter it hole by hole while you are out there, or scan the scorecard when you finish. A round in progress is kept for you if you close the app mid-round.
  3. Mark what mattered
    Birdies, eagles, aces and albatrosses are the events the club keeps. Everything else is round history.
  4. Save
    The round joins your card and your stats. A Founding member's rounds also appear in The Clubhouse, to the members who follow them.

Your card

Your card is the running record of every sub-par event you have logged, the courses you have tamed, your streaks, and the achievement badges you have earned. It is lifetime, not seasonal. Your tier badge sits beside your name everywhere in the club, and Founding members carry their Register number with it, №001 through №10,000, issued privately when they are admitted. If a Founding membership ends, the number returns to the Register and may be issued again.

The feed

The feed is The Clubhouse, and it comes with Founding membership. It shows the rounds of the members you follow. Follow someone and their birdies, eagles, aces and albatrosses roll in as they log them. It is the part of the club that makes a Tuesday round worth telling someone about.

★ Your rounds follow you

Sign in with your PIN on any device and your card, rounds and badges come with you. The same PIN on a new phone is the same member, and there is nothing to transfer.

III · The Club

Golf is a game of honor.

Golf has always been played on the honor system. Every birdie, eagle and ace in SIX DEEP is logged by the player who made it, and kept on that player's word. What we ask in return is simple: respect. For the game. For your scorecard. For the company you keep.

Your account

How do I sign in?

With your email address or your member number, plus a 4-digit PIN you set when you first sign in. On a phone that supports it, Face ID unlocks it after that.

What if I forget my PIN?

Tap "Forgot your PIN?" on the sign-in screen. We mail a link to the address on your account that sets a new one. It works once and expires after thirty minutes, and your old PIN keeps working until you set the new one. The link only ever goes to the address already on the register, because the PIN is what proves a card is yours. If you no longer have that inbox, email membership@sixdeep.golf and a person will take it from there.

Do my rounds sync between my phone and my iPad?

Yes. Your email and PIN are your membership, so the same pair on a second device is the same member. Rounds, your card, achievements, what is in your bag and your linked handles all come across.

Sync needs you to be signed in. If you are using the app signed out, everything is held on that device until you sign in, and then it uploads.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Anything already synced comes back when you sign in again. Sign in first, before you clear anything, if you have been playing signed out.

Does SIX DEEP post my scores for my Handicap Index?

No. SIX DEEP hands the round off rather than transmitting it: from Round Detail, the app sets a finished round out in the order a score posting asks for it (course, holes, tees, score type, date, then the scores), and you enter it with your handicap service and confirm. The post stays yours to complete.

Your Handicap Index is yours to keep current, too. Save it in your Profile and it displays everywhere your name does. Nothing logged in SIX DEEP is posted for you. Every tier includes the hand-off.

Is there an iPhone app in the App Store?

No, by choice. SIX DEEP is a web app you add to your home screen. See the Install section above. It behaves like any other app once it is there, and it means we answer to our members rather than to a review queue.

Membership and dues

What does membership cost?

Player is $15 a month or $120 a year. Scratch is $25 a month or $240 a year and adds full scorecard mode and access to the bespoke capsules. Founding is annual only: Cohort I is $360 a year, locked for as long as you hold the seat in good standing.

What is a cohort, and why does the price change?

Founding numbers are released in cohorts. Cohort I is №001 through №500 at $360 a year. When it closes, the rate steps up for everyone who joins after. Your rate stays at your cohort's for as long as you hold the seat in good standing.

Can I join without applying?

Founding membership is reviewed by the committee. Player and Scratch are open to anyone and do not need an application.

When can I actually pay and join?

Player and Scratch: choose a plan on the Dues page and pay. Your account is created at checkout, and the welcome email has the link to set your PIN. Already a member? Move up from Profile → Compare Tiers in the app.

Founding is by application. Each file is reviewed by the committee, and an approval carries the link to pay dues. Founding is never sold through a public checkout.

Where do I cancel?

Online, any time: Manage Dues in the app opens your billing account, or write to the desk at membership@sixdeep.golf. Under the Terms (section 7.2), canceling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then. Full detail on the support page.

Is there a free trial?

No. There is no free tier and no free trial. Membership is the product.
